
Board approves strategic initiatives in Master Plan
In late October and early November, the Master Planning Task Force recommended and the Board of Directors approved the following strategic Master Plan initiatives:
- A campus-wide full Master Plan, blessed in concept that enables Covenant Village to commence a re-zoning application
- The financing, final design, and renovation construction of a series of Phase 1 strategic initiatives that will benefit current residents, including:
- Renovations of the existing cottage exteriors (replacement windows—completed, siding, soffits, and gutters)
- Conversion of the ground-level hallway in the B-Building to Health Care residences (licensed for Assisted Living)
- New sign and landscape retaining wall at the front entrance
- Improvements to the loading dock area
- New staff parking on a land parcel acquired in 2019
- Renovation and enhancement of the existing dining room; kitchen and its equipment; private dining rooms; bar and coffee kiosk areas; card room; and main hallway from the front entrance to Resident mailboxes
- The reprioritization for future development of a new neighborhood (cottages and villas) on the Northeast portion of our property—a 13-acre site just off Robinwood Road
- Expansion on the Southwest portion of our property to feature a new cottage neighborhood concept for our campus
