One year later
One year ago, on July 18, 2024, Covenant Village celebrated the historic groundbreaking event that marked the first major renovations since 2002, the first new residences since 1996, and the commencement of several transformative projects integral to Covenant’s Master Plan for the next five to ten years.
In her remarks at the groundbreaking, Attorney Nancy Pascall, then chair of the Covenant Village Board of Directors, said, “As the premier continuing care retirement community in the Gaston region, Covenant Village is well-positioned for these challenges and opportunities [in the senior living industry]. With a strong vision for preserving our place as a valued community partner and leader in the senior living industry, we are poised for strategic and purposeful growth that will fortify options — for seniors who want to age well and for an industry workforce that longs to invest in a legacy of service,” she said.
On Friday, July 18, 2025, Covenant Village will welcome residents, guests, and staff to a Topping-Off Ceremony, a continuation of the community’s noble endeavors to provide the highest level of retirement living in the Gaston region.
All are invited to join the Covenant Village family for this special event to celebrate the ceremonial placement of the last major piece in the construction of the new Stonecrest Villa residences and to commemorate this significant achievement in the life of the community.
The Ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m. under cover in the lower level of the Stonecrest Villas, which can be accessed from the back entrance to the Appalachian (A) Building.
