Covenant Village residents, family members, future residents, and board members gathered in the Assembly Room on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, for the Second Annual Circle of Giving Celebration.
Founded in 2024, the Circle of Giving is a philanthropic recognition for donors who make an annual donation to one or more initiatives of the Legacy of Care giving program during the year and also donate to the Workforce Investment/Staff Bonus Fund.
At the event, Debbie Windley of Windmark Consulting shared the history of the Legacy of Care initiative and thanked members of the Legacy of Care Committee and Covenant Village residents for their joyful generosity in making investments in the place they call “home.”
Resident Association President Vicky Faris shared the record-breaking news that 96.4 percent of all residents donated to the Staff Bonus Fund this year for a total of $113,307 in funding that was distributed to all Covenant Village employees, with the exception of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Future resident Mary Trimmer shared that she and her husband, Steve, have made a number of moves during their married lives and that they always make it a priority to become engaged in the community in which they live, including Covenant Village. Mary is a member of the Legacy of Care Committee and the Lifelong Learning Education Committee. Steve has been a driving force in developing a plan for the new Woodworking/Hobby Shop being built at Covenant Village. Steve also handcrafted the Circle of Giving ornaments given to Circle members as a thank-you for their financial support in 2025.
Highlights of joyful generosity in 2025 that Covenant Village CEO Dale Melton shared included the following:
- Increased Inventory in Original Art (Scott Boyle; Curt Butler; Claire Jacobs)
- Main Street Renovations:
- Assembly Room
- Embers
- The Stuart Living Room
- Covered Balconies
- The Woodworking/Hobby Shop
- The Outdoor Pavilion, including a Shuffleboard Game system in honor of a Current Resident
