Building a Lifelong Learning and Enrichment Program
Watch the video interview: Building a Lifelong Learning and Enrichment Program
Long before Covenant Village launched the Lifelong Learning & Enrichment program this year, a team of residents, staff, friends, and future residents formed an education committee to plan the wonderful experiences that have taken place on the first and third Wednesdays of each month since January.
Future resident Daphne Friday and new resident Mary Trimmer were the first to volunteer for the education committee — well before making Covenant Village their home. Working with Covenant Village leadership, the Activities team, and Debbie Windley of Windmark Consulting, the team has helped shape a program that has drawn more than 60 attendees to each presentation.
In this video interview, Daphne and Mary talk with Debbie Windley about the importance of the Lifelong Learning & Enrichment program and how it offers a tremendous opportunity for philanthropic support to those for whom mental engagement is as important as physical and spiritual engagement.
That’s why the Legacy of Care Committee identified “Lifelong Learning” as one of the special giving projects for 2026.
During this Season of Giving, May 1 through the end of June, your gift to the Innovation & Enrichment pillar of the Legacy of Care can catapult the program into one of the hallmarks that make Covenant Village a place Where Life Is Filled With Promise, where we live longer, better … together.
