Fortune Best Workplace in Aging Services

Covenant Village named to Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services in 2023

Great Place to Work® and Fortune media have recognized Covenant Village as one of the 2023 Best Workplaces in Aging Services™. This is Covenant Village’s first time being named to this prestigious list, ranking 24th in the small to medium category (10 to 999 employees). Earning a spot means that Covenant Village is one of the best companies to work for in the country.

The Best Workplaces in Aging Services award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 168,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies in the aging services industry. In that survey, 86% of Covenant Village’s employees said Covenant is a great place to work. This number is 29% higher than the average U.S. company.

“We are grateful for our staff, whose collective dedication and hard work have created the culture of excellence, vision, and compassion that sets Covenant Village apart,” said CEO Dale Melton. “Thanks to the outstanding recruiting and retention efforts of our Human Resources department and Leadership Team members, our people make working at Covenant Village a special experience — every day. We celebrate and thank them for all they do to earn this incredible honor and for making Covenant Village the place where life is filled with promise.

The Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies are only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization.

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

According to the methodology, published on Fortune, Great Place to Work measures the core of what they know creates great workplaces—key behaviors that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company. The survey enables employees to share confidential quantitative and qualitative feedback about their organization’s culture by responding to 60 statements on a five-point scale and answering two open-ended questions.

Since participating in the Great Place to Work surveys, beginning in 2021, Covenant Village has consistently received high praise from its employees, particularly in the Trust Index, which measures employee satisfaction in five core dimensions of trust.

“We’re so thrilled to be able to work with some of the best organizations in aging services,” said Chris Magleby, Chief Strategy Officer at HCP. “These companies have proven their commitment to their employees and have worked hard to create an inclusive culture. Congratulations to all this year’s recipients.”
