On April 5th, Covenant Village came off the State’s COVID-19 Outbreak Status as the result of a consecutive 28-day window with no new positive COVID-19 cases! All thanks to the continued resiliency and determination of our Residents and the ongoing resolve of our dedicated Staff to provide the best care and services. 

Our last Health Center (HC) Resident case was February 7th. Our last HC Staff case was March 8th. 

Over the course of the last month, we have taken measured steps to transition our way toward what is really the “new normal” in daily operations: 

• On March 23rd, we made masks optional for independent living Residents 

• On April 1st, we made masks optional for Staff who work in independent living areas 

• We continue to follow Federal and State guidelines that Masks are Mandatory anytime in the Health Center—even now that we are off the active outbreak status 

Starting today for Family members, Guests, Visitors, and Vendors in independent living areas only AND who are up to date with vaccinations, Covenant Village is making masks optional. “Up to date with vaccinations” is defined in the following way: You have received the primary series of vaccinations (Moderna’s or Pfizer’s first two shots, or the Johnson & Johnson one shot), and you have received a subsequent booster shot. 

Additionally, unless you are going to the Health Center, you will not receive the COVID-19 screening questions at the Welcome Center, if you are up to date with vaccinations. 

COVID-19 Update 

The Leadership Team is planning a Booster Clinic onsite for Residents and Staff who may be interested in a 2nd Booster shot. Details will be sent out when finalized. 

Please consult your primary care physician for advice on whether you should have a 2nd Booster. The Booster Clinic is optional. 

We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with Edgeway Pharmacy in providing onsite COVID-19 Clinics.
